Board of Directors

Deep Water is pretty informal, but any organization needs people willing to look ahead, plan, give, and serve. Board members are just men who have been privileged to join and grow in this community and want to give back. Here's our current board.

Meet the Board

  • Tim Timmerman

After participating in various men’s weekends and groups around the USA, Tim cofounded Deep Water in 2009. An artist, a professor, and a follower of Jesus, Tim enjoys hosting high-energy dinner parties, sharing his story, and taking walks with his Scottie dog Lila. You haven’t really seen someone facilitate guts work until you watch Tim.

Tim’s current term serving as Secretary of Deep Water’s board continues until June of 2025.

  • David Blakeslee

An original Deep Water man (2009), Dave has served on the board since 2015. He’s a passionate follower of Jesus, a visionary who helps us find hope and lightness, a man of compassion and skill, and a brother who shows up for others even when it’s costly to him.

Dave’s current term serving on Deep Water’s board continues until June of 2027.

  • Eric Nash

Eric is a father of grown children and a lifelong resident of the Newberg area. His photo also appears in the dictionary next to the word “sarcasm.” Surprisingly, he also does an amazing job administering Deep Water weekend business and board finances.

Eric’s term as the Deep Water board’s treasurer continues until June of 2027.

  • Andrew Byerley

Andrew is a father, an educator, and a person who cherishes everyone he meets, bringing them to life with his all-out attention. He lives deliberately and loves deeply.

Andrew’s term as the Deep Water board’s vice president continues until June of 2026.

  • Jared Jones

Jared is a father, a writing teacher, and a dabbler in all kinds of hobbies that take him out into creation. He’s been given so much by Deep Water that he’s grateful for the chance to serve.

Jared’s term as the Deep Water board’s president continues until June of 2026.
